Rice Wine For Stomach

THE LEGENDARY RED FORK Quote

"What a nice quiet on the heights" (The Fly, Zucchero "Sugar" Fornaciari) - It 's been like this Sunday, March 7, 2010 when 34 brave CAI Bologna (including myself) at the helm of the great rose of the legendary Mauro Pini Forca Rossa (2490 m), and between Val Franzedas Valfredda in the area of \u200b\u200bthe Passo San Pellegrino (BL). On a beautiful sunny day, barely scratched by some passing cloud top and layered, we easily worn snowshoes and climbing the valley and the high Fuchiade Valfredda, with spectacular Pale di San Martino to join us on the path for the whole journey.
So in 2 hours we arrived at the fork, where we were in for a spectacular view over the Ampezzo Dolomites and Agordo (Tofane, Crystal, Sorapis, Antelao Pelmo, Owl) and the nearby Auta Heights. Snow and sunshine in abundance, a bit 'cold at the height of the fork and lots of fun for everyone. A stroke of luck: the extreme North-East was perhaps the only corner of Italy, which spared the intense disturbance throughout Sunday lashed the rest of the beautiful country, including Bologna.
And given that "these things always end up in glory" was also the conclusion worthy: a sumptuous snack at the hut Flora Alpina based cold meats (bacon, ham, salami, salted meat), mushrooms in oil, assorted cheeses, focaccia with tomato and cheese, all washed down with abundant and excellent Merlot from Veneto. And good for us that we were in coach and the return has been a problem for drivers ...
